DRIVING PLEASURE

With 911 Targa and Cayman GTS 4.0 in Meppen

Driving pleasure combined with social responsibility – is that possible? Yes, Driving4help proved it immediately at its inaugural event on May 4, 2024, in Meppen!

We arrived on the evening of May 3. Preparations on the grounds were already in full swing, but at that point, we weren’t entirely sure how the next day would unfold. As Elferdienst, we brought two typical representatives of our clientele for display: a 35-year-old Porsche 911 Targa and an almost new Cayman GTS 4.0.

The next morning started calmly, but with excellent weather. Gradually, the areas filled with people, with enthusiasts, and the many impressive vehicles completed their laps. It was truly busy, but not overcrowded.

In summary, it was precisely this balance that made the event so enjoyable. With the circuit in Meppen, the whole thing already had a serious scale, but one didn’t feel lost in the hustle and bustle. The organization, the alert yet composed team, ensured that there was no uncontrolled growth or hazards, especially in the vehicle area, while the atmosphere did not suffer from over-regulation or grumpy security.

Great conversations –
Room for improvement?

We had many interesting conversations with prospective customers and even competitors, and we were able to talk shop with Tim Schrick – what more could you ask for?
There is always room for improvement, but it would probably have been too good to be true if the event had also ended sunnily. From about 4 PM onwards, it rained, which unfortunately led to a slightly accelerated departure.

Great Event – See you next year

Despite leaving in the rain, we were very satisfied and would gladly participate again next year.
