With the rebranding in 2019 and the takeover of AML, many years of experience were transferred to a new generation. From this expertise, Elferdienst was born with the aim of consistently continuing proven know-how, technical precision, and a genuine passion for Porsche. Today, we combine over four decades of experience with state-of-the-art workshop technology and a clear specialization in Porsche vehicles of all generations.

WHO WE ARE

From AML to Elferdienst

In 2019, Michael Bohm and Bernhard Bergjan founded Elferdienst GmbH and took over the company AML from Rheine, which was founded and managed by Managing Director Dieter Schüßler. Dieter Schüßler’s experience with the Porsche brand dates back to 1984; he retired from full-time service at Elferdienst in 2025 and still maintains good contact with the Elferdienst team today.

Since 2020, Elferdienst has been located at Handelsweg 8 in Schüttorf. The new location offers significantly better opportunities for specialized workshop work and the secure housing of vehicles. At the same time, the workshop is very easy to reach via the A30/A31 motorway junction.

Elferdienst GmbH was founded in 2019. The company AML from Rheine was taken over by Elferdienst; this was founded by Dieter Schüßler. The workshop expertise dates back to 1984. Since 2019, the company has operated under the name “Elferdienst”.

The name “Elferdienst” uses, on the one hand, the quintessential Porsche, the “Elfer” (911), supplemented by “dienst” (service), made famous by “Kundendienst” (customer service)—a term coined by Volkswagen in the 1950s as a synonym for reliable workshop service.

The founders of Elferdienst are Michael Bohm and Bernhard Bergjan, who used the small company AML from Rheine, managed by Dieter Schüßler, as a basis. Dieter Schüßler’s Porsche experience dates back to 1984—experience that he passed on to the younger generation with great composure and a love for the craft.

In 2020, the new buildings for Elferdienst were constructed at Handelsweg 8 in 48465 Schüttorf, meaning the company is clearly visible at the Schüttorfer Kreuz junction. Only with the new space and equipment was it possible to align the business for the future.

The opening ceremony originally planned for October 10, 2020, had to be almost completely cancelled due to acute COVID-19 restrictions—one of the few non-events that one is unlikely to forget.
